With the aging of the wood and the poly coating failing, the logs are exposed to moisture. The result of moisture and environmental changes results in more cracking in the wood. We used special polyurithane base sealant for these cracks.

This close up shows the poly coating releasing from the wood surface. Loose edges must be removed and the entire surface sanded.

This face on the opposite side of the house shows severe weathering. The last poly coating was applied just over two years prior.

After scraping and sanding, we applied one coat marine polyurithane on the raw areas. This and the caulk are allowed to dry at least 24 hours before the final coating.

This protected area only needed light sanding and a finish coat of poly. Once finished, all the surfaces were equaly revived. Once again, Another pleased customer!
